Yawwwwwwn. Oh well. Slim-pickings today.
Artwork Notes
Neil Baker commented the other day that he'd like to see these latter c.1981/82 pages get the 'Special Edition' treatment. I'm not impressed with them, but it's almost tempting to colour them in just to make them look better.
Much of this is copied from the Marvel comic.
Text Notes
"It's what's left of a Jawa Sandcrawler!"
What a daft line. You could put that in as a piece of explanatory text (or whatever the term is) but to have a character say it just looks odd. And not just because old Ben undoubtedly knows what a Sandcrawler is: even a trashed, burnt-out one.
It reminds me the archetypal TV ad actor, "Darling - have you seen my Black and Decker triple-hammer-action combination drill and screwdriver with long-life battery pack and handy carrying case?"
Well, I'm glad to say, it's not my fault. I copied it almost word for word form the Marvel comic.
Better pickings this Wednesday.

We all went through the serious shading stage and even the 'composition' stage - but at the end of the day I'm reminded of what Picasso strove for in his later work. He spent his life learning to draw - then, through Cubism, he allowed himself to create work with the honesty of a child.
You must unlearn what you have learned!
I'm glad you're enjoying them. Nice to know they're not wasted! Lately I've been wondering if this site is really worth the time that goes into it.
I think Picasso said something like: "When I was young I could draw like Raphael, but it has taken me my whole life to learn to draw like a child." There's a great depth to that statement. I should write it out and stick it on my wall.
