By the Immortal Gods of the Sith?
Not sure where that one came from. The novel? Sounds more like my old Tomb of Dracula comics.
Art Notes: Getting Serious
"If we can get to it we'll be home free,
just so Longas-"Who's Longas?
I must have been 15 or even 16 when I did this stuff. At least I think I was. Maybe younger. Some of it's not bad. Lots of drama, variety, a mix of wide-shot and close-up, and even inventive speech balloon use in the middle panel.
Leia's verging on looking pretty too! And I like the side view of Han - I'd obviously made my mind up to be a comic artist by then (pity it never happened). I think when I stated, in art college interviews in 1985 what I wanted to do for a living the art tutors probably cringed. Though I have to say, one of them, Jim Savage in Limerick College of Art - a dead ringer for John Lennon responded with "Have you seen RanXerox?" I felt quite hip being able to respond in the affirmative. A couple of months before, a worldly media hipster in the village had loaned me a pile of very startling HEAVYMETAL magazines.
So, 2 questions for you:
- Where do you think I copied Leia's close-up from?
- Was Darth's final line just from the comic?
Thanks for reading! Care to comment?

As for Leia, yeah I've been that drunk.
I bet I took most of this from the comic. I'll check

It's not very informative though...
Are they partial to celebrating Talk Like a Pirate Day on the Emerald Island, like us Yanks, or are Ye a bunch of land lubbers, despite your Island Status?
Me wants to know Capn, or I throw ye to the sharks!
